THE HISTORY OF SAE
SAE is beautifully carpeted over the Nilgiris and over time has earned a niche for itself in the tea industry. Kotada tea has wooed connoisseurs of tea and is eagerly sought after at auction centers – both for domestic sales and the overseas market. Direct exports to form part of the SAE portfolio.
Over a period of years the company has modernized the factories which has resulted in increased tea production. Both the factories manufacture high quality High Grown Orthodox Black and Specialty Teas and Welbeck produces certified Organic and Green Teas.
Both the factories are ISO 9001:2015 and FSSC 22000 certified with sound quality control systems as per international norms and standards. IMO, Switzerland, has certified that the agricultural production of Welbeck Estate is in compliance with the organic production methods as defined by Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91 and as per USDA – NOP standards.
